Faaaaam it’s about to be a vibe. The line up for Afropunk Festival 2018, taking place at Constitution Hill on 30 and 31 December, has finally been released consisting of international acts such as Kaytranada, The Internet and Thundercat.
Afropunk returns to South Africa after a successful festival last year. Doing it for the culture, Afropunk has a growing following in the country and the rest of Africa, and many must’ve experienced some form of ‘FOMO’ after seeing the type of vibe this festival promises and delivers in different cities around the world.
For those still unfamiliar with it, Afropunk is simply defined as ‘a defining culture by the collective creative actions of the individual and the group. It is a safe place, a blank space to freak out in, to construct a new reality, to live your life as you see fit, while making sense of the world around you.’
Other acts on the line up include Flying Lotus, Public Enemy, Thandiswa Mazwai, YoungstaCPT, BCUC, Big Freedia, Moonchild Sanelly, Faka, Dope Saint Jude and many more.
Early bird tickets can be purchased from R400, but for more details on that click here.
Come to AFROPUNK Joburg 2018 to feel the music, free your mind, and enjoy an incredible lineup of ground breaking icons and emerging talent!
