Having successfully orchestrated the Fill Up FNB concert over the weekend, rapper Cassper Nyovest has announced his plans of filling up Moses Mabhida in Durban next year.
The multi-award winning South African artist and entrepreneur made history on Saturday night when he filled up FNB Stadium with 68 000 people, a first for a Hip Hop artist in South Africa.
Cassper Nyovest’s “Fill Up” concept was birthed from the notion that South Africa musicians cannot fill up stadiums without an international act and Cassper Nyovest wanted to dispute that. He began his journey in 2015, filling up The TicketPro Dome, a common venue for touring international stars, and then followed it up with Orlando Stadium in 2016.
After #FillUpFNB Cassper thanked his fans for their continued support of his dream.
“History was made because of you. Thank you for coming and sharing this moment with me,” expressed Cassper.
The spectacular event saw Cassper Nyovest put on a Lion King inspired production with 12 meter high “Mufasa” lions as prominent focal points.
The event has been trending for the third day now, with many still congratulating Cassper for this huge achievement.
“Great victory requires great risk. Forever proud and inspired by you Cassper Nyovest” – Terry Pheto
“South Africa what a time to be alive… God is a Major Key. Believe” – Black Coffee
“Cassper Nyovest is the pride of Africa” – Nina Hastie
“It always looks impossible… until it’s done” – Vusi Thembekwayo
“Looking forward to one day seeing a movie and/or a book about the Cassper Nyovest story. It will be such a motivation for any African child” – DJ ZanD
Straight after the show, the rapper announced he is aiming for Moses Mabhida Stadium for his next show. So the next question is, Durban are you ready?
