Cassper Nyovest has finally responded to the backlash received over his latest single, Tito Mboweni, by claiming he doesn’t make music to impress rappers. This comes after Ifani blatantly called his new track ‘trash that should be left in the dustbin’.
Cassper has been quiet on the mixed reactions received over the song thus far and instead showed his faith on it by releasing its music video which has reached above half a million views in just 4 days.
With that achievement, which is a South African first, the rapper took to Instagram on Monday to ‘respond’ to the criticism from fellow rappers.
“I don’t make music to impress rappers. You’ll never see 40 000 rappers in a stadium supporting another rapper. I make music for the people…we about to hit half a mill with the Tito Mboweni video!!! Link in my Bio,” Cassper wrote on his Instagram post.
Surely the opinion of other rappers about your music matters, though, yeah? Nope?
As far as we can recall, though, it was mostly the general public of music lovers that weren’t impressed with the track, and one (or two) artists that voiced out their opinion on it (the other subliminally).
